The Science Department is a vibrant and lively hub of activity, which is held in high regard throughout the School. The ethos is one of promoting intelligent and stimulating learning which excites, inspires and motivates students of all levels of ability. Science is taught at Key Stages 2 and 3, by a hard-working team which consists of subject specialists. The team is supported by a highly skilled laboratory technician. All staff work very closely together, sharing ideas, resources and good practice. Schemes of work and a wealth of teaching materials are available electronically.
There are two laboratories which are well equipped, all having interactive whiteboards and a range of specialist equipment. Extra-curricular activities trips and science clubs are a strength of the department preparing our pupils well for their next stage of their education and science and careers in the real world.
