Easter holiday – Eco Club day
The Eco Club had a very busy day during the Easter Holiday. They weeded the flower beds, tidied up the quad, made a bug house and planted spring flowers.

The Headteacher’s end of term assembly rewarded and recognised student achievements across academic subjects and extra curricular activities – well done to all the students who received certificates.
It was an absolute pleasure to take the girls to Denstone College to play in their first netball fixture of the year. There are more matches coming up so I look forward to seeing even more students involved in the game. Mrs White.

Tutbury were the overall winners of the KS2 Inter House Netball competition. Well done to everyone who took part.
The year 6 boys came up against a very strong school from Trentham in the County Cup. Unfortunately they lost the game but showed a fantastic attitude and determination throughout in very wet and windy conditions. Well done boys!
It was great to see so many students competing in the KS3 Inter House Netball. Well done to Chartley who won both the Y7 and the Y8 tournaments. Thank you to the Sports Leaders who helped officiate.
Year 5 spent the day at the National Memorial Arboretum, they took part in workshops and had the opportunity to explore the 150-acre site and reflect on the unique contribution of those who have served and whose sacrifice is never forgotten.
Thank you to our Sports Leaders for running a Boccia tournament for the local First Schools. It was great to see so many pupils enjoying playing the game and competing. The event was a huge success and our Sports Leaders should be very proud of themselves.
